About the Job

ASAP is looking for an energetic person who enjoys working with a variety of people to fill an open Project Coordinator position. The project coordinator is responsible for overseeing implementation of grant activities, planning community health interventions, and establishing and maintaining collaborative relationships. • Work with Executive Director and grantor to implement strategies to meet set objectives.

• Provide support services and coordination of all program activities.

• Create and submit quarterly progress reports.

• Submit weekly activities in state grant system.

• Maintain database to track all grant-related outputs and outcomes.

• Attend required grantee trainings.

• Coordinate prevention efforts.

• Attend public meetings and network with public officials.

• Plan and implement special events.

• Prepare and effectively deliver public speaking events and training events.

• Track program efforts to ensure project goals, objectives and activities are being successfully completed.

• Acquire and/or maintain Prevention Specialist Certification through the International Certification & Reciprocity Consortium.

• Other duties as assigned by Executive Director.


• Strong initiative and sense of collaboration.

• Computer skills, including knowledge of Word, Powerpoint, Outlook, Facebook, and Twitter. Knowledge of WordPress

• Must be proficient with written and spoken communication.

• Must be skilled public speaker with ability to engage an audience on a variety of topics.

• Candidates must possess a valid driver’s license.

• Bachelor’s degree from an accredited college or university preferred.

• Candidates must pass a background check and a drug screen.

• Knowledge of substance abuse prevention preferred.

The position is full-time and will require a 40-hour work week, including local travel. Some evening and weekend work is required; salary $30,000.
